Delhi Police’s ‘bike modification’ law ‘illegal’ and unconstitutional, says advocate

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Tuesday rejected a petition seeking the ban on bike modification and claimed it was unconstitutional.

The court was hearing a case involving the suspension of the city’s bike maintenance service after a complaint was filed against the police on the grounds of misuse of public funds.

The police have been asked to explain why the service was not available during the winter months.

The police claimed that the service had been provided to the public on the condition that it pay a fee.
